Development and correcting faults

To develop the PCBs from Bungard, a special developer must be used, which is dissolved in water. Take care to not develop to short, because invisible residues of the photoresist could remain on the PCB and make our live difficult later on. Once in a while I take the PCB out of the developer and wipe over it with a very soft tissue to remove the last parts of the photoresist (those are not visible on the PCB, but can be seen in the tissue). Then I put the PCB back into the developer fluid andn repeat this a few times. When no photoresist appears in the tissue, the development process is almost complete, if it weren't for ...

Defects in the photoresist

Every now and then there are small defects or even larger scratches in the photoresist (you can see those in the upper left picture). Therefore the photoresist must be checked prior to etching, because defects can now still be corrected very easilly. For this you can use rubb-off symbols (e.g. from Seno) and repair the defects in the photoresist, which is shown in the right and bottom picture.
